Share the 202020 Vision!

Our cities need more plants and trees. They're good for our health and productivity, keep cities cool and reduce pollution. Urban landscapes can mitigate flooding and bring biodiversity into the places where we live and work. People even heal faster when they're around trees.

Yet, so often, plants and trees are overlookd when plans are drawn and concrete poured.

The 202020 Vision is a national campaign to change this. 202020 Vision is Australia's biggest peer to peer network of green space people who share the mission to create 20% more green space in our urban areas by 2020.

Over 200 organisations from business, government, developers, higher education, NGOs and community groups support this mission.

The "Growing the Seeds National Tour" is reaching out across capital cities to catalyse participation in growing our urban landscapes.

The Brisbane leg of the Tour seeks to uncover, promote and replicate ideas, examples, and approaches that we are
pioneering to successfully overcome barriers that prevent green space.

Solutions will be captured, recorded, attributed and shared among the broader 202020 Vision
community by way of a document called the 20 Game Changers to be published in late 2014.

On November 24 the Tour will come to Brisbane, hosted by the University of Queensland. On the day there will be five 90-minute sessions each based on a theme and addressing specific issues that prevent green space.

Green Cross Australia's Mara Bun will introduce the "Community & Culture" session of the day from 4.45pm - 6.15pm on Monday November 24 at The Global Change Institute, University of Queensland.
