Green Cross Australia and Food Connect are convinced that the future is bright!
Join us for an evening of reflection, convivial drinks and delicious canapés made by Brisbane's top chef Alejandro Cancino. We celebrate International Year of the Farming Family and the lead into World Food Day.
Award winning restaurant Urbane offers this exclusive event at its legendary bar to support the Green Cross Australia network and Food Connect their community of local farmers who share our love of real food and optimism towards a resilient future.
Our evening is hosted by Costa Georgiadis from ABC's Gardening Australia.
This special event is offered to the first 60 people who buy tickets at $65/per person here.
The conversation will be led by Green Cross Australia, a network of like minded people who are committed to a resilient Australia. We treasure nature, value science and innovation, and embrace community participation.
Proceeds from from the night will go to the wonderful Green Lane Diary environmental education project, so we can foster environmental understanding and passion among the 5,500 primary school students currently learning about all things green.
Meet Robert Pekin and Emma-Kate Rose, the soul of Food Connect, who deliver seasonal, ecological food direct from local farmers to a community of appreciative customers in South East Queensland. By eating locally sourced food, we will celebrate the hard work of our farming families, those that are dedicated to educating the community about our food and where it comes from and making a positive difference through sustainable farming.
If you would like to offer fun experiences, cool gadgets, locally inspired art or refined recycled clothing or jewelry to auction on the night, we'd love you to share them!
