Walk Against Warming

On Saturday 12th December, concerts and rallies will be held in cities around the world to promote the need for a safe climate agreement at the UN Climate Change Meeting in Copenhagen.

Brisbane will be one of those cities and you can make the difference!

Your presence can directly impact positive global outcomes through the broadcast image of Brisbane's peacefully expressed desire for climate change agreement.

The Brisbane Walk Against Warming is connected to rallies and concerts being held around the world on Saturday 12th December.  The gathering is expected to be the first event to fill the new King George Square to capacity and has been timed mid-Copenhagen Climate Change Meeting to demonstrate democratic will to our leaders and calls for action and agreement on climate change.

There will be a rally, walk around the city followed by a concert of donated performances by the The Red Paintings, Katie Noonan & the Captains, Passenger, The Black Market Rhythm Company, Marshall & The Fro, Dallas Frasca.  Speakers from the Pacific Islands, Make Poverty History, Queensland Conservation Council, The Wilderness Society, Live Greenblog with Graham Readfearn and more along with live mural painting by renowned environmental artist Howie Cooke.

It is a free to the public, all ages non-alcohol event in King George Square.
