The past few years have been a challenging time for many organisations and communities. Green Cross Australia has not been immune, but we have taken the opportunity to reset the organisation's agenda.

We are very excited to be seeking interest for new Directors to join the Board to help drive our strategy and mission to empower a resilient Australia. We are looking for people who demonstrate a passion and genuine interest in sustainability and are aligned to the objectives of Green Cross Australia.

We are seeking:

  • Representation from the professional services sector

  • Representation from the government/quasi-government sector

  • Partnership and grants leadership

  • Leaders in the infrastructure and/or resilience sector

  • First Nations people, under 35s, broad cultural backgrounds

Key duties:

  • Strategy and Thought Leadership  - contributions to the development and delivery of strategy, including communications and written pieces supporting the GCA mission

  • Board Reporting  - contribute to Board reports and annual Statutory Reports 

  • Committee  - Leadership of a Board Committee within an area of expertise such as Digital, People, Partnerships and Grants or Marketing, PR and Research 

  • Desirable Qualifications - ICA or CPA qualified member; AICD member

  • Desirable Experience - Manager or Director level pro bono NFP with at least 5 years’ experience; Philanthropy or Grants/Fundraising experience
